Just need to vent!

I am frustrated to tears!

Earlier this year I tried to get the ball rolling for SS disability because I had to quit my job things had gotten so out of hand and am unable to work in my field as a Cert. Med Asst because I can no longer draw blood, pump a BP cuff or be on my feet all day. Long story "short"....they Atty thought I had a case b/c of my Fam Practice docs records and those of my Derm, however, my Rheumy did not document MOST of what I told him and therefore I was rejected. I then lost my insurance....got on Obama Care, which most people in my area don't accept, I moved and found a local Derm who - eventhough I had been on Humira with previous ins - decided that I was good enough now to just do topical and we would see how that goes! I have not found a Rheumy to take my insurance.

My husband is self-employed and business has been extremely slow....increase stress....we are moving on 7/31 and don't have $$ to hire movers so ......yep, we will be doing it....family and friends unable to help. My hands and shoulder are in a good bit of pain.....I'm taking lots 4 Aspirin tablets a day when my stomach can tolerate it with the Prilosec. I know there are those who are much worse off than I am ....I am just so overwhelmed at this point.....hard not to just sit and cry. Most of the time I'm tougher than this....not today.

God bless

I am so sorry you're up against all this. Some of the things in the mix are affecting more and more people on my side of the pond as well. Such as applying for disability being a complete gamble.

Do you know if there's a rheumy in the area you're moving to who takes Obamacare? And if one will, do you think your chances of going back on Humira are good?

I guess the first thing on the agenda is getting the move over with. If I was planning to move house, I'd factor in at least 5 meltdowns. Maybe that's a conservative estimate. You are tough and you are aptly named, you'll get through. Please keep us in the loop about how things pan out for you.

Hello Sunshine! I am so sorry you have to go through all of that, what a let down of services after being such a productive person. I hope someday the severity of this disease gets acknowledged! Until then I hope you are able to hold up until you are able to get the right help. Like Sybil mentioned you are in a situation that even healthy is hard and when not well is definitely going to be even more overwhelming. Hope you find out he strength you need and remember even a small amount of time everyday to care for yourself. The whole work, money insurance circle is hard to swallow but by not working you can try to focus on what does work for you and embrace it.you also made a great choice of expressing yourself and that great! Hang in there and know we are here for you.

Thanks Sybil...you made me smile with your "meltdown" comment! I can't tell you how much the encouragement helps!

THANK YOU!
