Interesting possible MTX interaction

Have any of you heard about a possible interaction between MTX and high doses of caffeine? I just wanted to check for possible drug interactions between two of the meds I have to take, and what caught my eye was the info about caffeine towards the bottom of the page.

I was wondering how reliable this info is, and if any of you have heard of this before. I am a huge coffee drinker and I would hate to give that up, but I will switch to decaff if it means making my MTX more effective. (I REALLY don't want to though)

Thanks for posting this. I also consume a lot of coffee. I’ll try to limit it now and see if it makes a difference.

I don't know the answer either but how about trying 1/2 decaf - you can either make your own coffee with regular and decaff together or buy it. Hills bros. brand makes a 1/2 and 1/2 blend called Perfect Balance. Hope all goes well.
