Inspiring Thousands of People through Real Experience

Arthritis does not choose any age. There are a lot of ways to prevent it, but some people just get it from some other reasons.

Getting arthritis at a very young age might be very difficult to imagine. We might think that it is an early end of our happy moments with friends and families. But for the 13-year old Mikayla Mannig who is suffering from juvenile arthritis, it is definitely not a hindrance to success. In fact, because of it, she decided to live stronger and become one of the courageous faces who stood against arthritis during the Rose Parade.

Although it may not be easy but the secret to standing brave is faith. Our joints may become weak with arthritis but our knees will remain strong when we believe. Some of parts of our body may ache for a couple of hours or days but nothing compares to the spirit of hope that lasts forever in the people who have seen us live strong. Inspiring a lot of people does not really take heroism, because living a happy life is already one of a kind.

Mikayla is one of the brave kids who have inspired a lot of people by standing up against it. In fact, she never quit doing the things she like such as cheer leading, because arthritis is never letting her down. And instead of complaining, she's spending a happy life helping and inspiring others like her.

Hence, stand strong and make more people follow what you do.

Mary, I agree what you are saying and a positive attitude is the first thing we always need to have, I have faith, and I know that I can share and help others at the same time helping myself. I have had many struggles to overcome in my life and maybe that is why I have this illness that takes joy away from us at times. I have lost more family members then the avarage person of my age, and have had many health issues and struggles to deal with, but I have always managed to overcome them and stand strong in my faith. But, I need to say something about what you said on not complaining,....We are on a site that allows each to express and let out the hardness of this illness, weither we are young or old is never the issue, it is the illness and what it does to each and ever one of us. We all have good days and we all struggle through the bad days, we all need to vent our frustrations and this is the right place to do so, cause it is a place of understanding, knowledge, support, and sometimes yes complaints, I do not believe we are complainers as much as survivors of a ugly illness that runs our life and takes away our freedom. For some, there is no choice, for others they make a difference and give hope, such as Mikayla. So I just wanted to say it, because I would not want anyone on this sight to feel offended by the "instead of complaining " phase. Thank you for your inspiring words!
