Dermatologist or Rhuematologist for treatment?

Hi,
Would you recommend going to a Rhuematologist or a Dermatologist for treatment. My main pain is joint and fingertip pain. The Rhuemy I found online lists that he specializes in PsA and the Derm. I found lists that he does PsA clinical trials. Any thoughts on who would provide the best care? P is minor on skin. Thanks?

Oh, and I don’t have a dx. yet.

Previous posts on this always suggest going to a rheumatologist on this. I think the logic is that PsA can damage your joints if not dealt with so best to have them looked at.

With what you are describing, and the lack of diagnosis right now, I would go to the rheumy. Good luck with this. At a later point, you may decide that you are interested in finding out more about the clinical trials that the derm is involved in.
