I have a quick question. I tested positive for the first time on Friday with Covid-19, and I am due for my next abrilada (biosimilar of humira) injection tomorrow. Can I take it?
I don’t have a fever and have not since Friday, and I’m concerned because with it wearing off my joints are starting to hurt again.
I tested positive to Covid a year or so back. I had zero Covid symptoms so I took my biologic as normal. Much depends on your Covid symptoms. If you have none or they’ve subsided then it doesn’t make sense to hold your biologic dose does it? However that’s just my opinion, if you want actual medical advice you need to talk to the doctor who is prescribing your biologic.
I would call your doctor. But if you can’t reach them, I would personally hold it. I do take the biologic when I have a cold, but especially since it’s your first time having covid you can’t really predict the course of it. Hopefully it’s a big nothing
