Louise! That’s great news, not only because you are off work with the blessing of (or is it at the insistence of?) the consultant, but you’ve also been validated. If you’re like me, you’re always thinking that maybe if you pushed just a little harder, you could get through this. Being told that you SHOULD be off takes such a weight off your shoulders! I remember a consultant looking me in the eye once and saying “You’ve hit the wall. You cannot go on. And I’m taking responsibility for this. If they have questions, they ask ME. Do you understand?” I cannot describe what that did for me … but you know the feeling!
