Anyone had good results with Tramadol?

I’m being weaned off my two 5mg vicodin a day. I’m severely allergic to NSAIDs.
The pelvic ensopathy pain is never ending and debilitating. I’m exhausted from it.
I’m using some CBD oil and it does turn the volume down a bit.
Is ultram / tramadol worth trying?
Does anyone else have pelvic/hip enthesitis pain tips?

I’m not a frequent user of pain killers. But I can’t take anything opioid based in a high enough dose to actually work without puking it up. It doesn’t work if it doesn’t stay down.

Last time that I had surgery that I needed painkillers for I used tramadol. I was very happy with how it controlled my pain.

Yes, I think it is, Mimi. When my hip crumbled, Tramadol worked pretty well for me, probably better than anything else I had tried. I still had pain, of course, but it was reasonably well-dulled, and Tramadol didn’t make me feel like I had a head full of cotton balls (like percocet did).

Good luck with this. Let us knowl how it goes.

Tramadol is my last resort when nothing else in my progression has worked. I take a half (more rarely, I need a whole), finally get some good sleep and feel SOOO much better the next morning.

Tramadol is my go to pain relief. When I had those two unexplained hip fractures last summer the long release one was best. Otherwise just the ordinary one works for me when needed.

Good luck with this too.

I had Tramadol as my last resort, and didn’t particularly like it, but it worked ok.

I was told I could take up to 100mg (2tablets), but had only ever used one.

Then one night was really bad, and I took 2 and had an episode (not too sure what else to call it). I was taking St John’s wort at the time. Both St John’s wort and SSRIs can occasionally have a pretty severe interaction with Tramadol (and there may be others), so my experience is just to make sure your clinician is totally familiar with whatever else you are taking, and has investigated possible interactions, before you go ahead.

I should point out my understanding is that the type of reaction I had was pretty unusual, and as I (stupidly in hindsight) did not attend ER, I can’t be sure it was due to a Tramadol interaction.

Thanks , y’all. I understand it also works as an antidepressant which could be a good thing right now.

It has helped me. Been on it for a year now.
