You might ask them if they can put a zirk in that new one. That way when you take the car in for grease and oil they can pump a little into that hip at the same time and really start (and keep) moving smooth.....
Best of luck.. I'm hoping the y will see no need for the MTX and you can get back on the tasting circuit and spit the spat for fun....
Hey Seenie, I 'm glad to hear that surgery is behind you. I tried to send you a note on the blog but when I went to send you a gift with the whole thing disappeared! Good grief! I’ll try again later. Just know you are in my prayers and thoughts. Oh and that trip you took sounded WONDERFUL! You go sistah!
Remember when it was hip to pop pills and smoke joints? (You KNEW this was coming, didn't you?) Now you can pop pills for your smoked hip!
Best of luck to you with your surgery, my friend. I know no one else who is such a trooper. If determination and attitude count, you will be fine! I repeat, you are my inspiration! I will be cheering for you (hip hip hooray, of course)! Once this is all over, you can tell us how your Enbrel is making you feel great!! :-) And remember, when the insurance company hassles you over your pain meds, just pay for the darn things!!! After all, you're hip to all that now! And when you're feeling all better, you can go out to a hip, new joint!! ;-)
Thank you so much, everyone, for your good and kind wishes. Things have gone fine and I’m recovering well. As Byrd says, I’m looking forward to leaving hospital and going out to some hip new joint! I will write a blog post later this afternoon.
I can tell you that I’m still really looking forward to re-starting MTX. My feet are very sore, and my hands stiff. And to think I thought it was useless! LOL. Oh well.
Blog post on the way as soon as I can do it, but I’m mmoving pretty slowly these days!
Thanks again
Seenie
Never thought I'd be begging for MTX either, but there you are. Glad you are feeling some better. Thinking about you and sending good vibes for a speedy recovery!
Remember, as long as you are in hospital, you don't have to shovel snow! :-)
You still have any hair on your head? I have been on it for about a year, taking as much as allowed and not sure it is helping at this point. The weather has been so horrendous that I have just lost it with the pain and have cried every day. I need help, physical and mentally. I must thank you all for being here, my days aren't as hopeless with this place being here. On MTX for about one year. Was taking Cymbalta for the Fibro but had to quit because of side effects.
So far I haven't lost all my hair and I am not going to.
Oh sure. It made no difference to my hair. I was kinda hoping it would all fall out, and grow back in coarse and wavy and silver grey. But no … oh well. LOL
Hugs to you too, Treasure!
Thanks for asking, Frances. I’m very well: in less pain than I was this time last week, if you can believe it. I am doing everything on my own – in/out of bed, toileting, showering, walking on crutches. So why am I still in hospital? Well, my super-meticulous surgeon doesn’t want me going home until my incision is completely healed and sealed. And today there was still a little ooze. So I’m just chillin’ and enjoying the really amazing nursing care here. He said he would check my incision tomorrow, and that I could go home then. Maybe. He did allow me to have a shower, and pointed out that I needed to do something about my BH. When I said I didn’t know what BH was, he explained. Bed Head. LOL!
That's funny BH - I didn't know what that meant either. So glad you're up and moving and in less pain. And more importantly signing in on this forum - we missed you ! Frances
