Does medical Marijuana help with pain and inflammation of PsA? Has anyone tried it?

I think what you will find is that everyone has a different experience when it comes to weed.
Your earlier experience leads me to believe you likely won’t like it any more now than you did 40 years ago. That is my experience having worked as a budtender in Oregon for a few years.
Of course, I could be completely wrong and you might love it for pain and other PsA side effects as I do.
I smoke it, I vape it, I eat it, and I even rub it on my skin.

My suggestion would be to try it, if you don’t like it, it becomes a moot point. If you do like it, well then you can weigh consequences, etc…

I don’t think you will ever get the water hot enough to convert all of the THCa to THC. Dr says that approx 90% would be raw cannabinoids and 10% decarboxylation… Tea made in this manner is non psychoactive so you won’t get high or anything like so it is perfect for anyone to get started with. THCa and CBDa dissolve well in water and that is what I’m after. Here is the process I use to make cannabis tea. Sorry I should have included this.

  1. Take 500mg(1/2g) of raw cannabis flower and grind up. The more course the better as you will be using a strainer later on. Put the ground cannabis into a small pot.

  2. Simmer 500mg of raw cannabis flower in 750ml of water for 15 minutes. I choose a big tea cup that holds approx 500ml of water. I pour a full one in and then add another half which comes out to be 750ml of total water knowing that some is going to boil off.

  3. Stir occasionally and once the 15 minutes is up I strain the cannabis by pouring the water back into my cup. I discard the cannabis that is in the strainer.

  4. Add your favorite type of tea and let it steep for your desired time. I like peppermint and orange mango. I use 4 minute steep for peppermint and 13 min for orange mango. I add local honey to taste and enjoy.

That is it and it is super simple to make. I encourage folks to at least try it as it has really helped me. I was always pretty much against cannabis to be honest until I figured out how to use it. I actually became extremely interested in why cannabis works so I took a 2 year course to study the science behind it cause I guess I’m a geek like that:) Never to old to learn new things!

My experience says YES. My PsA meds plus others made me constantly nauseated for decades.
I do not have an Rx yet, but marijuana is legal in my state for personal use. For pain from both RA and PsA, and med-induced nausea, I have found no better relief than a 25mg gummy twice a day.
If you have access, I would try it asap. Start low, go slow, see if it helps.
Honestly, after all these decades as an abstainer, I never thought I’d become a marijuana user in my elder years.
I’m sorry I didn’t have this years ago.
