I love that old song, but it's kind if shi**y when singing about PsA and "achy" all over! I bet some of the younger crowd on here don't even know what song that is!
Ooops, now I'll have that song repeating through my feeble brain the rest of the day! :-)
Shaking' All Over! I don't remember the name of the band.....ooops, just looked online. The Guess Who rerecorded it but I didn't see who the original artist was. Love that song! Omg, call me a ditz, cuz I am. Johnny Kid and the Pirates-Seenie, how did you know that??? I never heard that band name before. Were they the original artists?
Did you ever see The Singing Detective? It's a film by wonderful Dennis Potter (who had PsA like nobody's business) and Dry Bones features with a dance routine to boot. The film takes a lot from his own life, including his suffering with P & PsA. I'd say to anyone, do not so much as check that film out it you have a nervous disposition and even then only if you have a very dark sense of humour. Potter got both conditions early in his life, before Mtx came on the scene I think. When rheumatologists started using Mtx that helped him a lot but it was too little, too late and biologics were yet to come.

I don't know that song, what is it and who sings it?
I've never seen The Singing Detective. I did, however, look up The Guess Who's version of Shaking All Over. The youtube version I found was set to video of something called The Skeleton Dance. It provided a badly needed laugh. Thank you!
Woo hoo, we are good! Not only do we have an official LWPsA wine, but we have some great contenders for an anthem. Such a talented group we are. I'm waiting for janeatiu to be inspired.
I checked out snippets of The Singing Detective, but I'm afraid that was enough for me. Cut's a bit close to the ... um...bone for me. But this one's for you, 6CL:
Well, baby I used to stay out all night long But now I cry, I feel all wrong It hurts with my eyes open, that's no lie Joints they burn and now its my turn to cry Because I used to do dishes, but it's all over now Because I used to run 5Ks, but it's all over now
Well, I used to run around doing errands in town Now I spend my money, paying for high-priced meds My back went out, it was a pity how I cried Joints they burn and now its my turn to cry Because I used to do yoga, but it's all over now Because I used to go climbing, but it's all over now
Well, I can't walk in the morning, get my breakfast in bed My knees are all wobbly, I have an aching head I've got scaly patches here and there, I try not to frown Still trying to be perky, but sometimes I get down Because I used to walk the doggie, but it's all over now Because I used to cook dinner, but it's all over now But then I took Humira, and my pain's over now But then I took Humira, and my pain's over now
