Someone posted in another thread about not being able to swim in a public pool due to psoriasis being visible and staff not understanding and not letting them swim. I thought I would post some resources, and if anyone wants to discuss this top I started this new thread.
My P is worst on my hands, so I can't hide it from anyone, ever (except winter in gloves). In the past though I've had it in places I've wanted to cover. Thanks to the internet and many small companies selling online, it is much easier to find swimsuits that cover more of the body.
I would suggest before spending a lot on these suits to make sure they say "fully chlorine resistant" or "Chloroguard" because those suits will hold up for YEARS (mine lasted 10, and still looks great but I needed a new size). A cheap material in a full coverage design will still cost a lot but thin and stretch and become useless much more quickly.

There are full body bathing suits used by various groups that advocate modest dressing for women and girls. I've seen them at my pool and read reviews, and they are not heavy and really work well. You can find them all over online. Here is one: http://hydrochic.com/
Also, I don't know where your P is, but www.H2Owear.com where I get my suits (the full front zip unitank, in case anyone is interested) sells full zip tops to go over your suit, AND full swim tights. All in sizes XS-5X. My first suit lasted 10 yrs (no kidding). So you should be able to cover whatever parts you need, and swim in peace. I hope that helps, it makes me sad to think of someone with P not being able to swim :(

Adding here: I found the unitank design (one piece with built in biker length shorts) works well because it doesn't irritate the creases in my leg / groin area, where I intermittently get psoriasis. The full zip front I get helps GREATLY to get it on and off, because once I'm done swimming I am exhausted and can't wrestle with a suit.
