Small Fiber Neuropathy

New diagnosis. Not sure what to expect but I’m not happy or even knowledgeable of this. Does anyone have or know anything about this?

Thanks.

Thank you for this information, Allan.

Thank you so much for this information. I have read through it, there isn’t much out there that I can understand about this new disease. I must start research as much as possible because no matter what I’ve read, I still cannot truly understand it.

This article is pretty easy to understand. Some will need to be looked up, but most of it is pretty clear for a lay person.

Thank you Grumpy.

Like other conditions diagnosed the underlying reason for the damage is PsA. I wonder how many additional diagnoses and treatments help or just add stress. Certainly for me having PSA aggressively controlled reduces this problem but does not eliminate it.

There is a lot of wisdom in what Allan is saying. Small fiber neuropathy is more like a "description" than a disease. Its caused by a number of other things. Sometimes having a better descriptor of the pain is comforting, other times it sends you to google and a whole new round of stress.
