Someone posted this on my Facebook page, and I thought this was fantastic, and wanted to share. It makes so much sense.

Just read the same article this afternoon. I think it's good for an acute situation, but doesn't necessarily work for a chronic condition over a long period of time.

I like it, but that's a good point you have Marietta.

Marietta- That was my thought as well. But at the same time, much of it still does apply. Advice? What about who to whine at? I can whine out of the center, but others shouldn't whine in about how their knee/shoulder/finger is worse than mine.

It did remind me of when I had an acute situation years ago, and was recovering from back surgery. My sister called me up, lovely and thoughtful person that she is, and started complaining about her knee, and how it hurt. She told me she was even using a cane to get around. I'll point out, there is nothing physically wrong with my sister. There I was, flat on my back, just a few days past surgery. So I definitely get it.

Either way, it's a good reminder to us all in how to deal with others.
