Chris, my knee sometimes looks like your knee (except mine is a bit less hairy and a bit more girly)!
I'm guessing you leg is a LOT less hairy lol. It blows peoples minds when I show them that pic lol. Well, non-arthritic people that is. Another mind blower is the unbelievable fact that I never really had any pain in that knee. I was unable to move it properly and it was of course as stiff as a board, but really the pain was very mild. My main problem at the time of that pic was my feet and jaw. OMG, it was like I was walking on giant bruised feet. Every step was pure agony. And the jaw was no fun either. I was only able to open my mouth about and inch. And every time I ate my whole head was filled with a grinding/scrapping sound. Very unsettling.
OMG I get symptoms sometimes in my jaw! I never heard anybody else complain about it until now. Chris you and I must be long lost sister and brother! Thanks for making me feel I am not crazy...ok a little crazy.....
My knee problem (rt) is minor at this point and may be mechanical .. but geez, I've been having trouble with my jaw and up into my left ear and head for the last 6 months (+/-) now. I thought it might be TMJ and am seeing my dentist soon, but now I'll mention it to my Rhemy! Just a little crazy here too Michael, maybe more than a little, lol!
I have had jaw joint problems on and off the whole time I've had PsA. Sometimes I can't open my mouth with morning stiffness, and I need to put hot packs on both sides. My dentist is fitting me for an NTI device (like a night guard, but only for the front teeth), to relieve some of the pressure during the night that might be making it worse.
Jaw involvement is not that unusual.
Thanks JW and Marietta. I thought maybe I had been grinding my teeth. I use to do that very badly when younger and switching shifts. I drink pots of coffee when I wake up, must be my sort of hot pack! Thanks again.
I also do not know if I have OA or PSA in my knees just like MiV. I can't get my Rheumy to acknowledge what is what on me. My hips have been diagnosed as Bursitis and my shoulders with Tendonitis. It is all the same to me. My left knee is making it so difficult to walk. I now have deformed looking ankles and painful feet with deformed looking toes. My right knee has now joined in but not as bad. Thanks Seenie for the website info. I will do some internet searches on "deep Koebner" at another time, just too tied to focus right now.
