I have been reading about people that their pain has stopped. Call Me Crazzy but my pain has stopped to, i mean i have no pain what so ever right now. Little history about my self, I have been taking Morphine Sulfate 60 mg. for 4 years now. Humira self injection shots twice a mounth, MTX twice a mounth, prednsone when needed for flair up, seems like all the time. I have been of my Morphine for 8 days ( no problem stopping it ).
This is what think, first day of summer was March 20, The day you cane stand a egg upright. th day the sun is in line with the middle of the earth.
Take it for what its worth, all i know is i not pain and i am enjoying my grace time. good luck to all.
It's certainly possible, although not typical I'm sure. But I'm one of the rare wonderful cases also. My PsA completely totally 100% went away on it's own. Prior to my remission I was on MTX first, then Sulfasalazine, then Humira, and finally Remicade. After a bad reaction to Remicade I decided to stop all meds and just wait until the pain returned as I was near certain it would. That was 16 months ago and I still have no signs of arthritis. And I mean none. When I first got Psa I went down hill very fast. I had too many affected joints to list. I was basically a cripple. Today I have no active arthritis what so ever.
However, I was not near so lucky with my skin. When I had terrible arthritis my skin was clear. Maybe 2-4 very small patches of Psoriasis from time to time. Now, I'm covered. I started Enbrel on Wednesday in hopes it will knock out the skin issues.
I'll call you crazy. My pain hasn't stopped. It is an interesting coincidence though, that a few people have recently posted about extreme improvements. I'm glad for you.
I should also note that I have a relative who completely recovered from RA also. When she was a young adult she spent most of her time in a wheelchair. She always refused to take MTX which was the treatment of choice back in those day's. I think she just survived on vodka and NSAIDS lol. But as she aged the RA seemed to get better and better each year. Now she's in her 60's and is an avid hiker, swimmer, and runner. She's even climbed a mountin or two. I asked her once to rate her pain levels from 1-10. She said on a good day she's a zero. On a bad day maybe a 2. RA did leave her with some disfigurment of the hands and feet, but she say's the pain stopped years ago and she is able to use both hands without limitations.
Again, highly unusual for sure. But possible, yes.
